Osaka University

We held a joint seminar with the student chapters from Zhejiang University. We introduced our research and activities to each other and exchanged ideas.

We partnered with Suita City to organize and run an interactive workshop aiming to introduce children to the wonders of optics. On the event day, we welcomed over 300 excited young participants. Our objective was to make learning about light and optics enjoyable for them.

The first lecture of the OPTICA/SPIE Student Chapter Osaka for the 2024 academic year. In this lecture, Prof. Kawata gave a talk about student chapter activities. Over 30 people attended and interacted with each other.

The Annual Joint UOsaka-UTokyo OPTICA Student Chapter Meeting, held on 25/11/2023, provided a vibrant platform for students from the University of Osaka and the University of Tokyo to converge, share knowledge, and foster collaboration in the field of optics and photonics.

We invited two members from the GUT Optica student chapter  chapter to Osaka and organized a networking event. During the gathering, we exchanged views and insights on research and chapter activities.
