Asia-Pacific SPIE student Chapter Symposium 2025
We attended the Asia-Pacific SPIE Student Chapter Symposium 2025 held in Tokushima. We gained valuable insights from presentations by SPIE President Peter J. de Groot, Professor Nathan Hagen, and Associate Professor Takayuki Umakoshi, who is our chapter advisor. We also enjoyed discussions during the poster session.

Science experiment event for high school students
We organized an experimental event for high school students as the second part of a GLHS tour organized by the University of Osaka. They enjoyed not only the experiment but also the conversation with our members.

Lecture by Dr. Tomohiro Oda (USRA)
Dr. Tomohiro Oda from the Universities Space Research Association (USRA) gave a lecture on both his research and effective lightning talks. His engaging lightning talk skills captured our attention and will continue to be valuable for our future careers.

Science experiment event for children
We teamed up again with Suita City to host another hands-on workshop on the wonders of optics. The event was filled with smiles, as babies, elementary school students, and their parents all joined in the fun. We were delighted to see so many families enjoying science together.

Joint seminar with Tokushima University
We held a joint seminar with the student chapters from Tokushima University. We introduced our research and activities to each other and exchanged ideas.
